Are you passionate about food safety or want to learn more about World Food Safety Day? Here is your chance to attend a Symposium organised by Food Microbiology Academy!
Interact with like-minded individuals, build connections, and have fun learning about food safety!
Registration is quick and easy, just fill in a google sheet and click submit! Anybody can register to attend the Symposium. In fact, we encourage anyone and everyone to attend. Yes, it is relevant to everyone – academics/faculty, food industry staff, food service and hospitality workers, research students and especially the general public. Come learn and come contribute.
The symposium will be on World Food Safety Day, 7 June 2025, with a starting time of 05:00 UTC, with conclusion at 13:00 UTC.

Passionate about food safety and want to share your thoughts? Here is a chance to present your ideas and achievements on World Food Safety Day within this year’s theme – Science in Action.
Remember, registration is free for everyone!
If you are:
- Enrolled in a coursework (i.e. non-research) course at the time of the Symposium
- Passionate about food safety
- Keen to share your thoughts and innovative ideas.

Here are some ideas:
- Industry challenges that have been addressed, for example during an internship
- Scholarly research

- Any other ground-breaking idea!

- Limit of 250 words.
- Multiple authors allowed, but the presenting author must be a current coursework (undergraduate or postgraduate) student.
- Indicate the presenting author and the corresponding author.

These will adjusted based on cost of living for sponsors in different countries. For example, these are the sponsorship tiers for sponsors located in the Philippines:
